Anchorage Memories Christmas
From Mike and Mary of Anchorage Memories we wish you a very merry Christmas
Mike and Mary of Anchorage Memories recently caught up with Santa Claus during a visit to the Gene Autry Western Museum in Burbank, California.
And when Santa discovered that we were both from Anchorage, Alaska, he invited us to sit in his sleigh and chat with him.
Santa, Sparky, and the Anchorage Fire Department
One Christmas when Mary was a student at Denali elementary school, her and the rest of the school got a big surprise.
The Anchorage Fire Department showed up with a hook and ladder truck. And perched on top of the truck was Sparky and right next to Sparky was Santa Claus.
And when the boys and girls came out to see what was going on, Santa himself handed each student an orange.
What a great Christmas memory for a little girl.
Santa Lives Here
When Mike was a small boy in Anchorage he had a very exciting thought one Christmas.
“Anchorage is not all that far from the North Pole where Santa lives… So Anchorage must be one of his first stops…”
It was a very exciting thought and one that Mike has never forgotten.
Merry Christmas from Mike and Mary
We wish you and yours a most joy-filled season. And that you will pass along some of that joy to everyone you meet. It’s worth it just to see the smiles.
And Mary and I hope that the Anchorage Memories we celebrate with you, bring you much joy and happiness.
Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year
Until Next Time

Anchorage Memories
May everyone have time of reflecting on memories of family and friends and have a very Merry Christmas! Memories of the snow covered streets and the fun of walking in fresh fallen snow with my family as a youngster and looking at the displays in the shop windows was always a special memory for me...downtown Anchorage was always lovely at Christmas time!
